It’s been a while since I last updated this blog. Exactly two months have passed since I wrote about me passing the JLPT N5 and not much happened. Work keeps me occupied for quite a lot and I got some problems with my ear. But I am still doing Otaku stuff such as ordering single cards for my Weiß Schwarz Fairy Tail Deck. (more…)
Today arrived a package from Hobby Search I was waiting for. It was a delivery of two displays of the new Weiss Schwarz Fairy Tail Extrapack Boosterseries. (more…)
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test, JLPT for short, took place a few days ago in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The JLPT is a test to evaluate the proficiency of the japanese language and is held twice a year. One in summer and one in winter. The participants can choose one of 5 different levels with N5 being the easiest and N1 being the most difficult one. The japanese government planned to use the JLPT certificates in regards of long and permanent resident visas in 2008 but I am not up to date if this is already in process or kicked into the trash can. Last weekend, I was in Köln to take some scenes for a time lapse video.
Got inspired by mockmoon over at youtube a while ago and wanted to try it out myself ever since.
After I found out how to make those videos I played around with my camera settings and now I know how to do those videos. I like blurry movement in a time lapse so I wanted to achieve this as well. But at daytime the shutter speed was limited and I couldn’t get the results I wanted. Had to wait for a darker time of day because I am missing a grey filter for my lense. This lense darkens the light which allows the photographer to set longer shutter speed without getting a white image.
Well, but the night scenes didn’t turn out well either. The shoot of the street looks too orange and not natural. Will find out how to overcome this, too.
And once again it was time for the AnimagiC in Bonn. One of Germanys biggest Anime, Manga and Videogame Convention. And of course I took a day off from work to visit the Con together with comrade Buku and Marvelous_M. (more…)
Since the Japan Day was postponed into the October, my friends Buku and Marvelous_M decided to pay a visit to the Dokomi which means Doitsu Komikkumaaketto and is a japanese pop culture event held in Düsseldorf. (more…)
At the 21st of May bushiroad released one of their new series for the Weiss Schwarz Trading Card Game. Bakemonogatari.
So first of all, what is Bakemonogatari?
Bakemonogatari is about the third year high school student Araragi Koyomi who recently survived a vampire attack. And now he enters a world full of ghosts, demons, spirits, gods and myths.
It is a really popular anime and I recommend watching it!
