Welcome to [...], Mr. Terrorist

There are a few things in life a modern human being from the western countries wouldn’t do.

For example eating spiders, cutting off fingers, watching music casting shows and stuff and going to departments.

The last thing I had to do. I had no choice.

The fun stuff started with changing my sleep-wake rythm to arrive early at the department. Normaly I sleep when those offices are open. Thats really good…

So I tried to get into a normal sleep-wake rythm like most of people do have. It was really hard to do so and I failed patheticly. The first time I slept until 17:00 and the next day only for three hours.

Night shift sucks!

Well, I somehow managed to wake up in time. Tired but in time. I ha dall the documents I needed to get the stuff I want and when I arrived I had to catch a waiting number. 115. Hm how far did they get until now?

Numer 87 is being served. This is going to be a long day. Regardless which office you have to go, working department, finance department, citizens advice department, immigration department or whatsoever department. The waiting room is full o people regardless if being 10:00 in the morning or 16:00 in the afternoon. Regardless of being monday, tuesday etc. People are gatheirng in the waitin rooms of departments.  Waiting at the departments seems to be a national sport. Just like waiting in line.

And of course only 3 of 9 counters are open for business. And the women – somehow only women work on those offices – are slow as a snail. But only if the client is there. If not they work with the speed of lightning to have more time to sleep and for breaks.

And if you have to wait until midday you can witness an incredible phenomen. Called “lunch-break”. Half of the stuff members are going to catch some food and the clients habe to wait even more.

I just had to order a ePassport and had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Hand over my ID Card, biometric passport photo, paying 37,50 EUR cash, scanning the tip of each index finger three times, sign and getting a receipt. The whole procedure took me 5 to 10 minutes. The waiting sure paid off. Try it for yourself!

now I have to wait and I will be a proud owner of an  ePass. Lets see if soem hacker will attack me and if I am catched as Al Achmid Al Qrzar from the airport police.

Unfortunately the ePass is valid for 10 years. But the next ID Card registration comes soon.
