School Diary Part 2

こんにちは皆さん。お元気ですか。

I found out how to write in Kana and Kanji with Ubuntu. And now I want to have some fun with it.

I can automatically transform words into Kanji. But you have to know the Kanji. Other people maybe unable to understand what you write, but who cares? :P

But lets start with the topic now.

It was wednesday and that means 1 1/2 hours learning japanese at school. Like I said last time I already know hiragana and katakana. Therefore the beginning was boring again. But the others have to learn the remaining hiragana symbols in order to read the first lesson in the textbook.

After we finished the whole set we repeat some of the phrases learned at the end of the first day.

After we repeated stuff like こんにちは (konnichi ha)、おはようございます (o-hayou gozaimasu)、こんばんは (konban ha)、さようなら (sayounara) and おやすみなさい (o-yasumi nasai) we continued and learned the remaining phrases listed in our books. For example ただいま (tadaima) or おかえりなさい (o-kaeri nasai). Next week we still have 9 more phrases to go.

Our teacher then wanted us to read the first dialogue in the textbook. Everybody is shy and no one wants to read. So I started to collect some points and read. I hoped the rest will relax a bit after I was volunteering.

Unfortunately our teacher tends to mix things up as well. She said that one uses “tadaima” if you leave the house. But we know that you use it when you return home. :)

I can’t say if she is nervous as well or not But I do hope that she will not make any more mistakes. Buku and I can’t stare out of the window for too long. :P
