Nakano Azusa Alter

A few weeks ago Hobby Link Japan did a sale for a variety of figures they still had in stock. Guess it was spring cleaning. And I used the opportunity to get my hands on the 1/8 scale Nakano Azusa pre-painted figure by Alter.
It is still possible to get her at hlj.com. But be fast she is on low stock.
Azusa is just my 3rd scale figure so far. I am more into Nendoroids. But after I saw her on sale I just had to buy her. Now I want every one of the K-On Girls from Alter but I think I am too late since Yui and Mio are sold out everywhere.
The clear base with Mutan on it is a nice choice. It looks better than most bases I have seen which are really boring.
And Azunyan is a few cm in the air which adds a nice feeling of motion with her floating twintails.
Doesn’t really looks like she is jumping or the pose was messed up if jumping was the sculptures intention.
Here you can see what I mean. From the front one would guess she is jumping but from the side it looks more like she is sitting.
But still the pose is a lovely one which seems very energetic.
Her face is so adorable. Makes one wanna pinch her cheeks °3°
Azunyan really likes to play the guitar. And Alter captured her love for music with her nice expression and her dynamic pose. She is now my favorite figure.
And of course Azunyan wouldn’t be Azunyan without catears. So if you like you can change her hair to the one with nekomimi. But I prefer her without them. Still calling her Azunyan.
Her lower body is really well painted too. I especially like the highlights and shades on her skirt.
Her socks are a bit thicker than her legs which is also gives a realistic feeling. On my Eri figure there is only a small gap.
The details on her guitar are really good too. The pickguard is painted as a metallic one with tiny details in it which gives a 3D feeling. So far I always thought her pickguard was plain white – which it probably is – but Alters choice is really good. The only bad part is that her blazer has an ugly part under her armpit. But it only is noticeable when you look directly at that part or if it is shown in a picture.
Even the fretboard is very well detailed and with those strings it looks like she can play some tunes any moment.
I am really happy that I bought her and am treasuring her well now. I hope that someday I have all five of them.

oh ja, ich habe sie in jap gesehen für 4800 yen und war innerlich am verzweifeln ob ich sie mir holen sollte…
am Ende habe es leider nicht getan……
