From July 7th to July 14th I visited Berlin and stayed at a friends place and relaxed for a while.
But before I start I think I should apologize if this entry eats too much speed. But since this is a vacation post it is full of pictures. So please don’t sue me. :)

The last time I went to Berlin was 6 years ago. That sure is a long time so I decided to pay a friend who lives there a visit.
I decided to fly and not to go by train because it is a bit more comfy in my opinion. German Train Company sucks.

And because it is funnier to travel with more people I invited Mio to accompany me.

The flight was really relaxing and not much happened. After we deposited my baggage in my friends room we went out and about to find a good place to watch Germany vs Spain. We watched the game at a restaurant and next door were a bunch of spain fans. Was a real pain. Not only because Germany lost but the Spain fans where really annoying with their vuvuzelas and their screams every second spain was in ball possesion.

The next day we did the tourist stuff and visited a whole bunch of places.

In the evening my friends brother and their cousin played a few rounds of bowling with us.

This was the first time for me and I quit don’t understand why sometimes I hit a lot of pins and sometimes none. Well, but was a lot of fun, even for Mio.

The next day was relaxing. And I am glad we stayed at home until the evening because my feet where still burning.
Later we drove to an asian restaurant to celebrate “brothers” 18th birthday with his family.

The weekend was gaming and soccer themed. Gamed until the two finals of the World Cup started. Mostly played Grandia 3 because I am a huge Grandia fan and I don’t own a copy. Square Enix never released an european version.

With the start of the new week the gaming part was still in progress. But when the sun was gone we did the whole tourist stuff again for photography purpose.

I never really did a photowalk at night until now and I thought this was a perfect chance to try it out. Berlin is an awesome city even at night.

Didn’t bring my Tripod with me and am beginner at night photography but it was really funny and I liked it very much.

On tuesday we visited Potsdam. It is just a few minutes from Berlin by car.

This is the capital city of the province Brandenburg. T’was so hot that I wasn’t in the mood to take many pictures.

But Mio insisted to take a few since she slept while I did the night shooting in Berlin.

On the next day I had to fly back to Cologne. One week sure passes by quick. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for letting me stay at your place for one week and sorry that you had to sleep on the ground ^^;

There is just a bunch of pictures in this article. If you want to see all of them be sure to visit my flickr page.
